Originally from New York, both her parents worked for a local newspaper, their work fostered her interest in writing and to a lesser extent journalism . Growing up she spent a lot of her time at her grandmother's home while her parents worked, she introduced Christie to the mystery genre and she'd would often sit with her and watch TV, usually Murder, She Wrote or some history documentary.

Christie moved to Michigan for college and started going to the same university as Irene, and is a literature major, she started working at the schools library and for the schools newspaper. Journalism isn't her main passion but she still enjoys it, she’d much rather commit herself to writing her own mystery novel but thats kinda on the backburner as she works on her thesis, which has become less of a thesis and more of a lifes work, it started off as general dissertation on historical crime and then narrowed in on a specific spree of crimes of The Cuvier Gang whos crime sranged from coach robbery to cannibalism.

This woman staddles the line between widly passionate and concerningly obssesive like her life depends on it. She loves being able to share anything she's intrested in or working on in the moment with other people. She just seems to be always working on some diffrent project at any given moment. She's very action focused and she’s one of those people who just makes being smart seem so easy. She sometimes makes jokes that where she knows shes kidding but she can't tell if others can, as she delivers it with such straight face. Pattern seeker.

Somehow some people view her as cold or stand-offish, when she like, really isn't. Christies actually quite social and outgoing she's just very pragmatic, and dosn't pick up on social cues the best. She also has a tendence to be very direct or blunt and that kinda puts people off, she never like intentianly "mean" blunt but it can come off as that. And honestly I don't thinks shes a very emotional person, and can get uncomfortable when she is confronted by her own or others extreme emotions.

She and Irene got off on a kinda rough foot, while she is definitely quite fond of her as friend she sometimes worries Irene is still into her romantically and that she is disappointing her in a way. But she is quite happy to have someone in her life that is just as interested in creation as she is, she loves sharing her writing with her and loves seeing Irene's art and hearing her music; one day she’d love to work on something jointly with her. But it does kinda get on her nerves how sincerity adverse and negetive Irene can be.

Skinner and her get along like a house on fire, it's probably that autism to autism connection but everyone was really surprised about how well they hit it off. He’s that non-judgment person she can be utterly insane with and it's just fine, they often talk about the most bizarre shit and have a lot of the same more morbid interests.
